The City manager attends the Clean-Air Forum in Lagos, Nigeria. The 5-day engagement seeks to map the policy landscape across Africa and identify data needs for evidence-informed policy development in air quality management. Additionally, it aims to review participatory air quality initiatives in African cities, reflecting on the commitments made at the Kampala meeting, and to define the data ecosystem and best practices for utilizing low-cost air quality sensor networks and digital solutions in the African context. Building on the inaugural CLEAN-Air Forum held in Kampala, Uganda, in 2023, which brought together participants from over 31 cities worldwide, this event marks another significant step in Africa-led collaborations and multi-regional partnerships addressing air quality challenges in African cities.
