This morning, The City manager had the privilege of extending a warm welcome to esteemed counterparts from cities and municipalities nationwide, convening for a three-day consultative summit. Facilitated by the Council of Governors-Kenya through its Lands, Housing, and Urban Development Committee, this gathering serves as a pivotal platform for robust discourse on emergent sectoral challenges and the delineation of strategic priorities for the forthcoming fiscal term. As custodians of urban governance, Kisumu City takes profound pride in hosting this consequential assembly, emblematic of our shared resolve to confront the multifaceted exigencies confronting our urban landscapes while fostering holistic city and municipal advancements. Prior to the commencement of proceedings, a formal courtesy visit was paid to H.E the Governor Prof. Anyang’ Nyong’o , who presides over the committee.
